FOOD FESTIVALS & FAIRS 2018
Northern Vegan Festival, Manchester - 7 April 2018
Another great Vegan Festival, this time in Manchester. The Northern Vegan Festival keeps going from strength to strength! Taking place in Manchester Central in the city centre, it was really well attended and very busy. The energy was great, and as always I had some enlightening conversations with vegans, vegetarians and the "vegan curious" alike.
As always, I met some fantastic people, stallholders and visitors alike. Some of the stand out ones were George of Gorgosaurus Vegan Bakery. She makes some amazing vegan cakes and other sweet treats that taste as delicious as they look. I also had the pleasure of meeting and chatting to the lovely Kay, aka "The Purple Vegan on Wheels"! As her name suggests, she loves purple, and is a vegan. I love the way that even her chair is colour coordinated - how fierce!!

North Yorkshire Vegan Festival - 17 March 2018
The North Yorkshire Vegan Festival was my very first outing in Harrogate, North Yorks. It was a great day, but I think it's attendance was hampered by the latest leg of the "Beast from the East", which threatened to kick in all day. Luckily, the on and off snow flurries never really took hold, but I still think the threat of it puts people off from venturing out.
I met some lovely new stallholders including SuperU, who make some fantastic bowls and cutlery from discarded coconut shells! I love their sustainability ethos, and the fact that I can truly use all of a coconut when making some of my products! I also had the pleasure of getting a truly effective shoulder and neck massage from Leigh-Anne at Jung Shim. This was a massage like no other I've ever had before! Chunsoo is an energy treatment that uses a combination of acupressure and sound to release deep rooted tension and knots from the body, whilst recharging your ‘human energy’. As you can imagine, the idea of it was right up my street, and I totally sold on it now. I also met the lovely King & Queen in the picture, and had a great chat about the vegan lifestyle and The Black Panther. I wonder what their diet was like in Wakanda?!

West Yorkshire Vegan Festival - 27 January 2018
Organised by Farplace Animal Rescue, the West Yorkshire Vegan Festival was back in West Yorkshire in Huddersfield, having previously been held in Dewsbury. It was my first time exhibiting with them so I was really looking forward to it.
There were some fantastic exhibitors there, including one of my favourites, Besos. If you haven't tried their vegan version of Bailey's - I think you should! I also met for the first time, the fabulous Brownins Food, who make delicious vegan jerk chicken - who new there was such a thing!
All proceeds went to Farplace Animal Rescue, and the animals they help, who have often been rejected elsewhere. From horses to feral cats, wildlife to terrapins, your money spent with them allows them to be there for so many animals in need.

The Yorkshire Dales Yoga Show - 13 January 2018
This was my first time at The Yorkshire Dales Yoga Show, and what a great event! Again, I was very blessed to exhibit at a "First Show" that was really busy, well attended and had great feedback from visitors! There was some excellent food being served, including raw tiramisu, and really delicious chickpea burgers - yum, yum!
There were free yoga taster sessions on the stage, which meant for once I got to see some action! I was also lucky enough to be next to another great stall holder selling essential oils, the same company I was next to in November, and the inspiration for my next truffle! Local resident and fellow small business owner, Christine of Christie's Crafts also stopped by. Christie and I have become good pals having met on Twitter, and are part of a friendly group of fellow small business owners who socialise a fair bit on Twitter, and just support one another.
The day was a fantastic outing, and I'm really looking forward to next year being bigger & better! :)

FOOD FESTIVALS & FAIRS 2017
Great Yorkshire Vegan Festival - 26 November
The 2017 Leeds WinterFest Vegan Christmas Market was my second Winterfest, and again it was a great event!
Probably not so much to start with for anyone queuing outside, as again, we had a particularly cold day. Once you were inside though, you found a lovely warm bunch of stall holders, events, talks and all manner of vegan goodies to warm you through, so you soon forgot how cold you were!
This year I was down in the basement, which initially I thought would feel like some kind of grotto, but nothing could be further from the truth! All sections of the festival were well signposted, and it was heaving to say the least! I was also really pleased to see that the area itself was dressed really cleverly, with faux trees and foliage, which was so perfectly in keeping with my mission statement; "from the tree to my kitchen."
My vegan salted caramel sauce made it's debut, and I was delighted to find that the sample jars that I bought sold out within the hour! My product research and testing definitely paid off!
Above is a pic of me with two of my "Abundance Groupies", the lovely Gina & Paula! They attend many of the festivals that I exhibit at, and always stop by for a chat and to stock up on healthy treats! Very spookily, I met them at a completely unrelated Inspiring Women's event just a few days before - our beautiful world is getting smaller!
